District Volunteer
Foundation for Reed Schools
For nearly ten years, I have been an engaged volunteer with our Foundation. And I have actively worked to ensure the financial viability for the Foundation and our schools.
Raised over $300,000 as Auction Chair in 2016.
Initiated Pledge Day and helped increase the family participation rate to over 70% as co-chair of participation for the Family Giving Campaign.
As the Vice President of Family Giving, oversaw the fundraising of $2 million for RUSD’s schools and rebuilding of the Foundation’s financial reserves.
Parent Teacher Association (PTA)
I also have volunteered my time in the classroom and to directly support our teachers. I have served as a Room Parent for my daughter’s Fourth Grade classroom. And I have had the opportunity to serve our schools in other PTA capacities — as a Regatta artwork volunteer, hot-lunch server, picture-day assistant, book-fair helper, and a Reed car-line classroom coordinator.
Work Experience
Business Executive
I work in Tiburon as the Vice President for Operations and Business Development for Costa Isabela Partners, a real estate development company dedicated to sustainable projects in Puerto Rico designed to bring economic revitalization and jobs to the island. Overseeing a multi-million dollar portfolio of real estate holdings, financial responsibility, and smart investments are my key priorities.
Attorney
For over 20 years, I litigated business and intellectual property disputes on behalf of high-technology companies at two of the country’s largest law firms. I also practiced employment law in a small law firm. Following law school, I served as a judicial law clerk for U.S. Circuit Judge Juan Torruella, the only United States appellate judge based in Puerto Rico.
An Advocate for Our Youth
The YMCA of San Francisco
In the City, San Mateo, and Marin County, the Y is focused on kids — through skills development and empowerment. The Y’s strategic vision is to have “the healthiest children in America” right here in the Bay Area. I have been honored to serve a member of the Y’s Board of Directors since 2017. In that role, I chaired the annual Y for Youth gala fundraiser and serve on the Financial Development Committee.
During 2021 and 2022, I served on a special task force that worked closely with the Marin County Office of Education to establish and fund learning hubs throughout Marin for in-person support for the county’s most vulnerable youth during remote and hybrid learning.
Foster Youth
The most significant contributions I’ve made as a lawyer have come through my pro bono representations on behalf of children and foster youth, for which I have been honored with a number of awards.
